Zarif calls for maximum Tehran-Baghdad coop.

TEHRAN, Sep. 06 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Minister in meeting with Iraqi Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebar pointed to friendly and brotherly relations between Iran and Iraq deeming maximum use of the potentials for mutual cooperation as essential.

Iraqi Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting today morning in Tehran discussed the latest economic and trade relations between the two countries.

Hoshyar Zebari congratulated Iran on the success in nuclear negotiations evaluating the agreement as reasonable, useful, and beneficial to Iranian nation as well as the region.

Pointing to the historical commonalities between the two countries, the Iraqi minister appreciated Iran for supporting Iraqi government and nation in confronting terrorism and for strengthening solidarity and unity in Iraq.

The Iraqi official further noted mutual economic cooperation expressing hope that bilateral relation between Iran and Iraq will expand.

Iran’s Foreign Minister also reiterated the friendly and brotherly relations between the two countries calling for the maximum use of the capacity for cooperation in line with the benefits of the two sides.

Expressing Iran’s readiness to develop and strengthen trade and economic relations with Iraq, Zarif discussed possibilities for facilitating trade and solving problems faced by Iranian contractors in Iraq.

Stressing the importance of bilateral and regional cooperation, Iranian Foreign Minister wished success for Iraqi leaders and politicians in strengthening the unity, security and stability in their country.
